Privacy Policy
Effective date: 9 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Edu Masters (“Edu Masters”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our learning management platform, websites, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you acknowledge this Policy.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to students, teachers, assistants, moderators, administrators, and visitors who access Edu Masters. It covers personal data processed in connection with account registration, course and lecture access, payments or access codes, assessments, attendance, communications, and platform administration. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control, even if linked from the Services.
2. Data controller and contact
Edu Masters operates the Services and is the data controller for personal data processed through the platform, unless a school, academy, or teacher organization expressly acts as an independent controller for data it uploads. Privacy inquiries: info@edumasters.net Support: support@edumasters.net
3. Information we collect
Depending on your role and how you use the Services, we may collect: • Account and profile data — name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed form), gender, city, educational stage or grade, profile picture, enrollment identifiers, and profile-completion status. • Learning and platform activity — courses and lectures accessed, purchases or redemptions of access codes, attendance records, quiz attempts and scores, FAQ interactions, and content progress where available. • Teacher and staff operational data — courses, lectures, materials, videos, quizzes, sessions, codes, and team assignments created or managed in the dashboard. • Technical and usage data — IP address, device/browser type, approximate location derived from network data, cookies or similar technologies, log files, and diagnostic information needed to secure and improve the Services. • Communications — messages you send to us (for example support emails) and related metadata. We do not intentionally collect payment card numbers on the platform where access is granted through codes or similar mechanisms managed outside card processing; any third-party payment processor would be subject to its own terms and privacy notice.
4. How we use personal data
We use personal data to: • create and manage accounts and role-based access; • deliver courses, lectures, videos, materials, quizzes, and related learning features; • process access codes, purchases, and ownership of content; • support attendance, assessments, FAQs, and teacher/staff workflows; • communicate service notices, security alerts, and (where permitted) product updates; • protect the platform against fraud, unauthorized sharing, abuse, and security incidents — including measures such as watermarking or access controls where applicable; • analyse aggregated usage to improve reliability, performance, and educational experience; • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable data-protection laws require a legal basis, we process personal data on one or more of the following grounds: performance of a contract with you (providing the Services); our legitimate interests in operating a secure educational platform, preventing misuse, and improving the Services (balanced against your rights); compliance with legal obligations; and consent where we expressly request it (for example certain optional communications or non-essential cookies), which you may withdraw at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
7. Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, accounting, or security requirements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, subject to backup and archival limits. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained for analytics and product improvement.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and monitoring for unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete certain personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You can update many profile fields in your account settings. For other requests, contact info@edumasters.net. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request and may decline requests that are unlawful, excessively repetitive, or would compromise the privacy or security of others.
11. Children and students
Edu Masters is an educational platform that may be used by minors under the supervision of parents, guardians, or educational institutions where required by law. Where a child does not have legal capacity to consent, a parent, guardian, or responsible institution should authorize use of the Services. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child without appropriate authorization, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12. International transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes take effect. Material changes may be communicated through the Services or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
